<h1>Pamela Hegarty</h1> Pam (China) Hegarty was born and lived in Cherbourg Aboriginal Mission along with other Koa families. Pam left Cherbourg after the 1967 referendum and spent time in Victoria and NSW before returning to Queensland. Pamela has worked as a cultural heritage/archaeology consultant across regional and remote areas of Queensland, New South Wales, and the Northern Territory for more than 25 years. Pamela’s work has involved consulting with Native Title and Traditional Owner Groups as well as numerous Federal and State Government agencies to ensure the Aboriginal voice was heard and included by mining companies and others wanting to do business on Aboriginal land. Pam pursued a career in cultural resource management, Indigenous Ranger programs, cultural heritage, archaeology, and anthropology. Pam is an advocate for social justice issues in particular, recognition of the legacy our Koa Elders upheld to our cultural responsibilities to our Koa families and to Guwa Koa country. For the survival of Aboriginal people, Pam believes it is so important to Aboriginal people to be included in any decision making process that can ultimately affects their lives. Pam is humbled to be nominated as Chairperson of the Guwa Koa Aboriginal Corporation (RNTBC) and thanks everyone involved and look forward to continuing fighting the cause for the Koa group. I wholeheartly encourage younger Koa members to become involved in Guwa Koa business to uphold our Dignity and Pride as proud Koa people. She anticipates her new position is another step further to gain social justice recognition for all Koa members (past and present) in particular, the Elders, who endured injustices throughout their lifetime. <h1>Lance O’Chin</h1> Lance O’Chin was born and raised in Cherbourg and for many years worked for and in the local community. Previously, Lance was a member of the inaugural Goomeri, Kilkivan, and Cherbourg Junior Rugby League Board, he was also the community Scout Master, as well as being part of the Community Welfare Group in Cherbourg. Lance is currently a band member of Mop and the Dropouts. As a board member of the Guwa Koa Aboriginal Corporation (GKAC), Lance is passionate about Guwa Country and Koa People and in particular the protection of our cultural heritage on our Traditional Lands. It is Lance’s hope that one day our people will be able to come on country, experience and learn about country, learn language and visit our important sites. Lance would like to see that we are able to hold cultural camps for our young ones in the future. Lance feels it is important that our stories of country are told so that our children will learn as much about our ancestors, culture and ceremony. Lance is keen to learn how to protect our sacred sites and language for our people and the many generations to come.

<h1>Lennart (Lenny) Dahlen</h1> Lenny is a proud descendant of the Koa peoples of Guwa Country with strong connections to Cherbourg where his mother was born and raised. He is a member of the Tye/Tie/Tighe family. He is new to native title and is looking forward to supporting the development and implementation of our strategies to benefit all Koa peoples, our children and families, by building effective relationships with stakeholders, Government, allies and supporters. Lenny has worked in peak community controlled organisations in Queensland over the last 13 years. He currently works at the Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Child Protection Peak as Manager, Member Engagement and Communications and formerly at the Queensland Aboriginal and Islander Health Council in a couple of different roles. He is passionate about building good and strong partnerships, with a particular focus on building effective relationships that will benefit all Koa People on Guwa Country. Lenny feels strongly about protecting Koa Peoples cultural heritage, keeping our mob informed and learning more about native title in his tenure as Director. Ultimately, it would be great to have a presence on country in Winton.

<h1>Michael Lindsay Charles Mace</h1> Michael is currently a Director of the Guwa-Koa Aboriginal Corporation and represents the Chambers Family. A proud Koa man, Michael was born in Brisbane on 10 November, 1948 and is the middle child of 6 siblings. He grew up in Zillmere (on Brisbane's northside) and attended Boondall State Primary, competing his high school days at Sandgate State High School and Kelvin Grove Adult Education. From 1973, Michael commenced a tertiary qualification (Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in sociology and anthropology with sub majors in government and psychology) at the University of Queensland at St Lucia, finishing his degree in mid-1977 at the Australian National University. Michael's working life has been in the Commonwealth and State Public Service receiving tenure and contracts in Queensland and the Northern Territory, augmented by Private Enterprise and individual consulting working. Over the years, he has served on a number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Organisation Boards and University Committees and also helped to set up a number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Organisations, particularly on the Sunshine Coast.

<h1>William (Billy) Gorham</h1> Billy Gorham is a proud Koa man who was born and raised in Cherbourg where he completed schooling and attended Murgon State High School. He currently sits as a Director on the Board of the Guwa Koa Aboriginal Corporation representing the Riley Family and is also Chair of Murri Watch Queensland. Over his career he has been active in creating opportunities for the Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, particularly in the areas of accommodation and has driven political change with his knowledge and understanding of the major issues faced by Indigenous people in Queensland. He has a Diploma in Administration, a Certificate IV in Governance and a Certificate IV in Frontline Management in Governance. He has sat on many boards over his life and is looking forward to ensuring great outcomes for our Koa people. Billy currently works for the Institute for Urban Indigenous Health as an Age Care Project Officer and is looking forward to building a deadly future for all Koa people on Guwa Country.
